Irene Tham
Irene oversees The Straits Times’ technology coverage, and writes regular columns that look at how technology is shaping the world. She began her career at CNET in Asia, a brand that is now owned by media firm Ziff Davis. She also spent a few years with Australia-based Fairfax Business Media in Singapore covering technology management and business issues prior to joining The Straits Times in 2007. Irene won the Singapore Press Holdings English/Malay/Tamil Media group Story of the Year award for her story “Public servants’ computers to have no Net access” from The Straits Times on June 8, 2016.
