Tanit Kane Chearavanont
Mr. Tanit Chearavanont has been the CEO of Makro Thailand since 2022 and was appointed as Group Chief Commercial Officer of CP AXTRA in 2024. With a vision for sustainable, strategic growth, he has guided Makro’s expansion as a key player in Asia’s wholesale and retail sectors. Under his leadership, the company has focused on enhancing customer experiences, expanding its regional footprint, and establishing impactful partnerships that support both economic growth and community development.
A Harvard graduate, Mr. Tanit began his career at UBS AG in Hong Kong, gaining valuable experience in investment banking and corporate finance before joining Siam Makro in 2015 as Senior Manager for International Business Development.
He then assumed responsibility for CP Wholesale India Private Limited, where he expanded the company’s presence in one of the world’s most competitive retail markets.
Returning to Thailand in 2021, he contributed to the CP Group Synergy project, positioning Makro for continued growth and transformation. As CEO of Makro Thailand and Group Chief Commercial Officer of CP AXTRA, he remains dedicated to evolving the business into a tech-driven retail powerhouse, creating cutting-edge, omni channel experiences for customers, while acting as a catalyst for economic and social development across Asia.
